Materials:
Wool flannel cloth (available in natural health stores)
Castor oil
Large Plastic sheet (large garbage bag is ok)
Small Plastic sheet (small shopping bag is ok)
Electric heating pad
Bath towel
Soda water soaked sponge or face towel
Olive Oil
Preparation:
Cut garbage bag open so you have a large plastic sheet. Place across surface you will lie upon.
Plug in the electric heating pad. Cut open the shopping bag and place it upon the heating pad. Fold flannel cloth in such a way so it is four layers thick and place it upon the shopping bag on top of the heating pad. Pour castor oil onto the flannel cloth until it is saturated but not dripping.
Lie down on the plastic sheet. Lift the shopping bag and the Castor Oil soaked flannel cloth together off the heating pad and place upon the affected area. Cover with the plastic sheet you are lying on. You will look like a cocoon. Now place the heating pad on top of the Castor Oil Pack and relax. The level of heat should be noticeable yet comfortably hot enough. Breathe deeply into the affected area (in with the new, out with the old). You may wish to cover yourself with a blanket and maybe do some visualizations.
Leave on for an hour.
To remove:
Take off blanket. Take off heating pad. Open plastic sheet. Carefully remove castor oil-soaked flannel with the shopping bag still stuck to it. Fold it inside the plastic bag and place it aside. Wipe the area with the soda water soaked sponge or face towel. Dry.
Take a teaspoonful of Olive Oil internally via mouth. Some people can take a larger amount. See if you can take a tablespoonful.
You have just had your first Castor Oil pack! Yay!
Do not discard the flannel pack! Keep it in a plastic container for your next use.
The recommended frequency for the use of a castor oil pack is five days on, three days off for three months.
